Sept. 11, 2019 Pot Luck Dinner /GCI Delegate's Report
*2nd Wednesday St Charles Borromeo, Skillman Road
6:00 PM
Once again we will “kick-off” our year with our Pot Luck
Dinner. This is always a fun time when we renew old
friendships and make new ones. Bring your friends and anyone you’ve met who has expressed an interest in our Club. Following our dinner and visiting we will have a Short business meeting at which time we will vote on the Budget for the 2019-2020 year.

Oct. 3, 2019 Ladies of Liberty Hall

From Susan Livingston, daughter of Governor Livingston, whose daring exploits saved Liberty Hall from the British during the
Revolutionary War, to Mary Alice Kean who worked tirelessly for the preservation of our historic structures, Livingston and Kean women have played an important role in the history of our community.
This lively talk describes two hundred years of contributions
by the Ladies of Liberty Hall.

We will have a speaker (and hopefully some dogs) from “SAVE--
A Friend to Homeless Animals”. Founded in 1941, SAVE is an
independent non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Adoption, and Humane Education, SAVE focuses on the rehabilitation and placement of adoptable
animals.

Dec. 12, 2019 Our Annual Christmas Party
*6:00 PM at the home of Jane Lavoie
148 Sunset Rd, Belle Mead*
This is a wonderful evening! Everyone brings something to eat, a $10.00 grab-bag gift and items for the Crawford House Gift Bags. We assemble the gift bags in preparation for our annual Christmas Party at Crawford House. Susan will be preparing and providing us with a list of items which we would like to put into the bags.

Our presenter will be Diana Reinhardt from the Neshanic
Garden Club. She will provide a demonstration of floral
arranging using different techniques and types of flowers. Diana has won many awards in flower shows and now teaches flower arranging classes. Her completed design will be raffled off!

Jan.10 National Eye Care Month
*2nd Thursday The Seeing Eye: Pennies for Puppies/Dollars for Dogs

Once again we will have presenter Bob Denby, his colleagues and their puppies visit us and talk about the Pennies for Puppies and Dollars for Dogs program which we participated in last year. Our participations earned us a Puppy Sponsorship Certificate and we received a picture of the puppy we sponsored, Stella. Here she is!

Feb. 7 Home Front

This organization is dedicated to helping the “hidden homeless” in our communities. Sydney, our presenter will speak to us about young families with issues much different from those we normally associate with the homeless. In addition to education and job training, a great deal is needed to provide for these families. This should be a very informative evening.

Our presenter will be Carol Ann Hontz from the NJSFWC. This wonderful work is helping empower the women of the world. The “Days for Girls Foundation” makes and distributes feminine hygiene kits to educate maturing young women in poverty areas of the world and helps girls stay in school. More information can be found on: www.daysforgirls.org.
At this meeting officers will be elected.
